The ABB Beacon Run

#243642 1 year, 7 months ago
Anyone here going to the Allmans at the Beacon?

I was there last night and was overwhelmed. Great guests. My two fave Allmans songs -- Soulshine and No One to Run With. Two Band songs. One Van Morrison. The band was just loving the night.

And the Beacon rocks, though the Herb Security was sadly out in force and confiscating from people.

Still, a super time.

And lots of fans in Deadwear.

Thi was my and Sue's post in another thread, I was there the first night....Security was def tight, let me get away dancing right by the stairs close to the wall, I just was sweet and nice and let people by , ..you know dance your charm into the guard.... since people in the first balcony wanted to sit!!..., aside from the lack of dancing by the crowd it was really fun, ....Warren sounds amazing, and so does Greg.......the School Girl was brilliant........

Saw the ABB last night at the Beacon. I havent seen them since he year after Dickey left the group. Certainly a lot different these days, Greg is much more laid back. Jaimoe played the basic snare and rythythm while Butch and Mac riffed, butch was playing some great stuff. Derek was a bit aid back, ive seen him wail a bit more than he did. Warren stole the show, very hot playing on some of the material I was unfamiliar with. the sax player added a lot to the songs he played on, really good player.
And for those who are upset about the ticket prices for Furthur at the Capitol, you don't want to know hat the ABB got for he Beacon tickets!!

Thanks for the setlists.
I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.
Who you are, and what you do,
